After ten years of traveling around the world on contest circuit, Finnish snowboarding legend Antti Autti decided to do things his own way and hit the natural terrain. He spent a year searching for the best spots and the deepest powder. Documenting these explorations gave birth to ANTIOUT and now the whole extravaganza will be premiered in Antti's hometown.
Culture centre Arktikum in Rovaniemi (FIN) on October 29th will be hosting the event. Don't worry if you can't make this fairly remote place on the planet, since the movie will be released on Antti's website www.anttisworld.com as a free download on November 4th. It will show Antti's evolution from park destroyer to a powder shark.
" It was a tough year”, says Antti. “You can’t totally learn those things in a year–but you progress and continuous learning is super rewarding. Every trip made me better, and every time I learned new things. As I think a year back, I was an infant in backcountry–last season really opened my eyes to the limitless opportunities and allowed me to get into it full time. I’m really happy of what I achieved–we truly did things in our own way! ”
“I hope this film would encourage riders everywhere to seek for themselves”, says Antti. “There’s good spots everywhere, even near you, so you don’t even have to go too far. For myself I learned to see things differently. Exploring new places is the best–you can never know what to expect!”
