Anti Social Awards II Best of October

October is already over and I’m sad to report that we spent way more time on our phones than our boards. We’re hoping that this sad story will change soon, but in the meantime, we’re back to present another round of Anti Social Awards. 

Pretty much the only thing happing on snow in Switzerland last month was the Stomping Grounds, but we promise, this won’t be a whole post full of selfie-stick park laps. First up, it’s our favorite repressed minority…

The Girl Power Award
Even though everyone was shooting in Saas Fee these days, Celia Petrig and Markus Rohrbacher put in some work and pulled off a few special photos. This one left an impression…

 

The Full Pull Award
Who puts this much effort into an Instagram edit? I guess with enough cash and caffeine anything is possible. Though we would’ve loved to see this on a proper screen first, you’ve got to hand it to the flying banana and his drone team for dropping one of the few full parts that really stood out this month.

The Powder Envy Award
Yes, it’s another Stomping Grounds post, but it ain’t from the park. When I woke up to this, I really started questioning my life choices.

The Best Bail Award
Damn Victor… you good?

The WTF Award
Yooooo…. this is some serious next level ninja turtle shit right here. Hey Mons, did you learn that from Master Splinter?

The Art Crush Award
We pretty much love everything that Cyrex Li does. This one reminded us of the latest edit from our friends at Korua. Looks like it’s time to book another trip to Japan!

The Method of the Month Award
It’s Mr. Davis again, but this time he’s in the pipe. I could watch this 100 times.

The Not Snowboarding Award
This one defied all of the odds. We love Lucas, but sometimes the Doli show can be a bit too much. On top of this, it’s a fucking #influencer ad, which usually makes me want to throw my phone at a wall. But this time he nailed it. It’s just the perfect balance of humor and ridiculousness that makes Yung Doli a national treasure. 

The 2 Good 2 Gram Award
Luca Crivelli is one of our very favorite photographers, but somehow his shots always end up on our phones, instead of on our pages. This one of Markus Keller would’ve looked damn good on paper…

The Gram of the Month
This is pretty much everything I’ve ever wanted from Instagram. It’s the reason why I suffer through so much B-Roll footage and cringe worthy selfies. It’s all just to see moments like this. Thank you Boen Ferguson and Marcus Skin. You are the reason why I haven’t deleted this stupid app yet.
